Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Release Date Set for Oct. 10 with $550 Price Tag
Samsung announced the official release date and price for its refreshed Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet today. The Android device hits stores in the U.S. on Oct. 10, with pre-orders available starting on Sept. 27 at midnight Eastern, and costs $549.99 for the 16GB model or $599.99 for 32GB of internal storage.
The Galaxy Note 10.1—2014 Edition was unveiled earlier this month by Samsung at a special event in Berlin, and comes running Android 4.3 out of the box with the latest version of the company’s own TouchWiz UI on top. The updated software brings a number of new features, including Air Command for easily accessing the most popular S Pen apps, a new magazine-style user interface called My Magazine, and enhanced Multi Window support for viewing two applications at once.
The redesigned tablet has a similar look to the current model, but features the same faux-leather back seen on the Galaxy Note 3 along with the same updated S Pen. The tablet comes equipped with a 10.1-inch 2,560 x 1,600-pixel 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, an 8220mAh battery, microSD card slot, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. It will be available in black or white models.
